Auth/ACL suggestion: Keep the single-level password list for authenticating, but allow setting certain pages' read and write ability. If disabled, a user must use a password to bypass. (This is simple, but surely that's one of this wikis goals?)

I was thinking of doing that, and including an "editor password" in addition to the "administrative password" to provide for such access.

Multi-level subpages could replace the ?do= action system completely.

For example, one could register "Edit" as a special page, which would use the subpage name as the one to be edited. Likewise with "History," etc.
